It’s so easy to get yourself all set up and raring to go!
Just click on the Sign Up link. This will set you up with a SKY ID – it’s basically your online SKY account. To do any of the new funky online services, you’ll need to link your SKY ID to your actual SKY TV account. It sounds way more complicated than it actually is – you just need to provide us with a couple of things – your SKY account number, your decoder smartcard number or your date of birth – see easy as. From there, your SKY ID is linked with the information we have on your subscription, and then you’re in control of your account.
Viewing and paying your bill online really is the future. Our call centre receives so many calls each month from subscribers wanting to pay their bill by credit card, so save yourself the hassle of calling every month and simply go online anytime that suits you. Plus, you don’t have to worry about security - our Website is secure and we don’t keep a copy of your credit card details. And while you’re there – fancy subscribing to another channel? It’s as simple as clicking on the channel you’re after and subscribing to Rialto Channel, Rugby Channel or even SKY Sport The Magazine. Once you’ve submitted your request the new channel will be available on-screen within a few minutes.
Those of you with more than one decoder, will find this new feature a God send – we now have the ability for you to be able to name your decoders – this makes it easier for those who have more than one decoder to know which one they are submitting recording requests for. You can name them anything you like – Lounge, Peter’s Room – wherever you have them or maybe even just something silly – as long as you remember which one is which. Haven’t used Remote Record? For MY SKY subscribers, it means you can set recordings for your favourite shows from your computer – handy if you’re at work and remember you haven’t recorded the news or that documentary everyone’s talking about at the water cooler. You’ll never miss that programme you just absolutely love again.
Over the next few months we will keep launching additions to the site – you’ll soon be able to book pay-per-view movies and events online and choose to receive your bill via email – just another way we’re making SKY an even happier place for you.
