Since we launched MY SKY HDi 18 months ago, we’ve been busy behind the scenes finding ways to make the decoder even better. Your feedback on what you wished MY SKY HDi could do have been invaluable, and now some of your suggestions have been made a reality.
We know you’re all so familiar with how MY SKY HDi works and that it may take you a while to get used to the new features so we’ll walk you through how these will make your happy place even happier. We’re sure you’ll love all of these new features, but if they aren’t for you simply press the setup button/system setup/guide and planner settings to adjust your personal settings.

RECORD ME
Always seeing ads for what looks like a great show but you keep forgetting to record them? Well Record Me is the answer. When watching an advert on a SKY channel you might see an invite icon appear on the left of your screen. If you wish to record the programme, simply press the GREEN button on your remote and it’ll be automatically added to your planner. When it’s been successfully booked, you’ll see the booked icon appear on screen. And if you don't want to book the programme, you can remove the invite icon by pressing the "Back" button on your remote.

EPG ENHANCEMENTS

1/4 SCREEN VIDEO IN GUIDE
You can now keep watching TV while searching through the guide. By default, the guide will be set to this, if you want to turn it off, simply press the RED button and you’ll go back to the grid view you’ve been used to.

TURNING OFF FEATURES
To turn off some of these features you can access the guide and planner settings by pressing Active, selecting System Setup and then Guide and Planner Settings.
There you can change the default settings for the video in guide, the video in planner search, the order your planner search screen is sorted and you can also turn off the confirmation of delete. Don’t forget to scroll down to Save New Settings and press Select once you’ve made your changes.

CHANNEL VIEW
You can also now simply search through programme listings, one channel at a time. Simply press GUIDE on your remote, then press the GREEN button for Channel View, and you can see all the programmes on that day by entering in the three digit channel number you want or by scrolling channels using the left and right arrows.

RECORDINGS
We’ve made it easier to see what you’ve already set to record. Now when you’re searching through the guide, all shows booked to record will be highlighted in red.

PLANNER SEARCH
This is a brand new screen. To access it, go to your planner then press 0 on your remote. When you highlight a program the quarter screen will show you a preview of the recording.

DELETING AND KEEPING IN PLANNER SEARCH
While you’re in planner search, you’ll see that the menu bar at the bottom uses the colour buttons for different purposes. You are still able to use the delete and keep functions, but you’ll need to use your Left or Right Arrow buttons to change the menu view. By doing this you’ll see the menu bar change so you can use different functions within the same screen.

SEARCH BY GENRE, A-Z OR TIME
While you’re in planner search, you can also choose to define your search by genre. Just press the Yellow button on your remote and a list of genres will appear. Simply scroll down to highlight the genre you wish to search by then press select and all programs by that genre will appear. You can also choose to search alphabetically or by time by pressing the GREEN button on your remote.

CONFIRM DELETE
By popular demand, we have now added a confirmation screen once you have pressed the Yellow button to delete. To delete just press Select. You’ll never again accidentally delete something!
