SKYWATCH From The Editor February 2014

JUST $2.66 A MONTH.

Winter is the perfect time to slow down a bit, curl up in your favourite place and be entertained.

We’re counting down to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games on the 24th. We’ll be keeping a close eye on all our Kiwi athletes, including our cover stars, Sam Webster and Ethan Mitchell, and the other seven SKY NEXT athletes who’ll be there giving it their all. Check out our Commonwealth Games guide with listings on pages 85-95.

Elsewhere in sport, we chat to Lydia Ko as she chases her first major title, top Kiwi boxer Joseph Parker prepares to take on American Brian Minto, the Football United Tour screens LIVE on SKY ARENA, and heaps more.

We’re also gearing up for the school holidays with loads of great movies, including Monsters University on the SKY Movies Family POP-UP Channel and Frozen on SBO and SKY On Demand.
Plus, plenty of goodies across the factual and entertainment channels – like The British on BBC Knowledge, Utopia on SoHo and Crossing Lines on the BOX – are bound to have you hooked.

Our recipe pages this month are well worth a go if you’re keen to try something tasty yet super-healthy and, as always, we’ve got some great giveaways up for grabs, including tickets to National Geographic Live and Disney On Ice.

Until next month, enjoy cheering on our Commonwealth Games athletes and make the most of all of the simple things in life that come with the cooler weather – cosying up next to the fire, sharing a good meal with friends and good television of course!
